I am a Systemic Family Therapist and psychologist. I am a registrant of the Family Therapy Association of Ireland and the Irish Council for Psychotherapy and of the Psychological Society of Ireland.

I work with families, couples, children and individuals. I am trained in a variety of trauma-informed approaches such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I am trained in Play Family Therapy, with a major component in child development. My practice is guided by an interest in a body orientated approach to psychotherapy. I incorporate trauma-informed somatic psychotherapy in my approach including attachment, relational and developmental trauma. I work in an integrative way to support clients and families to reflect on the presenting issue and challenges in a relational context, and if revisiting the past to be able to do so in a present, safe and supported way.

I support clients to explore a variety of problems such as relationship and parenting issues, depression and anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, substance misuse, child and adolescence behavior, separating families, bereavement and loss. When working with families I use creative methods such as play therapy within a family therapy context with an emphasis on parent education and support. I have extensive experience of working with young people including with foster families and in the care system.

I have worked with agencies including Barnardos, One in Four, St. John of God and community based family psychotherapy services. I combine work in Bray Counselling and Therapy Centre with my role as family therapist in Spirasi working with survivors of torture
